How much does a website cost in Singapore?
The honest answer: from a couple of hundred dollars a year to over S$30,000, depending on who builds it and what it needs to do. Here is what each route costs, and where PolarisTech fits.

- Agency: from about S$5,000, and S$10,000–S$30,000+ for custom work.

On top of the build
Running costs people forget
- Domain name: about S$15–S$40 a year, and a .sg domain often costs more than a .com.
- Hosting: built into a DIY plan; from S$20 a month if you host with PolarisTech.
- Renewals: check the price after the first year. Wix, for example, includes a domain for the first year, then renews it at its normal price.
- Changes: on a DIY builder they’re free but take your time. On PolarisTech’s hosted plan we make them and quote small changes upfront.
A year-one example
DIY versus done-for-you
- Wix, annual billing: about US$204–468 a year (roughly S$265–S$610) depending on the plan. In cash terms DIY can be cheaper, but you build and update the site yourself.
- PolarisTech hosted: S$250 build + 12 × S$20 = S$490 in year one, with the site built for you.
- From year two: about S$240 a year for hosting with us.
You are paying for your time back, not just the website. Currency conversions are approximate, and your domain is extra in both cases.
What drives the price
Why quotes vary so much
- Custom design versus a template. A template you customise costs far less than a design made from scratch.
- Number of pages and amount of content we need to write, edit or photograph.
- Features. Online shops, logins, bookings and payments are what push projects into the thousands.
- Ongoing support. Some agencies bundle maintenance retainers; static sites need very little.
Where we fit: we only build simple static sites, which is why we can keep prices low. If you need an online shop or customer logins, a platform like Shopify or Wix is the better fit, and we will tell you so honestly.
Questions
Website cost FAQ
How much does a website cost in Singapore?
It depends who builds it. DIY builders such as Wix, GoDaddy and Squarespace cost roughly US$10–40 a month (about S$150–S$650 a year), but you design and maintain the site yourself. Freelancers and small studios in Singapore commonly quote S$500–S$5,000 for a small business site, and agencies start around S$5,000. PolarisTech builds it for you from S$300 once, or from S$250 plus S$20 a month with hosting. See the full cost breakdown.
Is a cheap website a bad website?
Not necessarily. For a small business that mainly needs to show services, prices, opening hours and a way to contact you, a simple static site is usually all you need. Cost climbs when you need an online shop, customer logins or custom features.
Does the S$20 a month include my domain name?
No. Hosting covers keeping your site online. Your domain is registered in your own name with a registrar and typically costs about S$15–S$40 a year. We can help you pick and connect it.
Do I have to pay every year?
Only for what you use. If you host with us it is S$20 a month, and your domain renews yearly with the registrar. If you take the build-only option and host elsewhere, you pay your own hosting and domain costs.
